Hi, I’m Lily.

Hi, I’m Lily. I’ve navigated the audio industry for 15 years—from its inception to the "gold rush" era, and now into the 2026 paradigm shift toward video. I’ve loved every second of the evolution.

My career began in news at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) before I moved into digital documentaries at Vice UK. In 2017, I transitioned into the high-growth world of branded podcast content and in 2018 I joined The Guardian to help develop their flagship daily news podcast, Today in Focus.

The core of my leadership experience was built at Chalk + Blade, a leading podcast production house. As Head of Entertainment until 2025, I ran development and production for competitive entertainment formats. A highlight was overseeing the BBC’s flagship companion podcast, Obsessed With…—the first BBC podcast to be fully visualised and broadcast on television.

Over the years, my pitches have secured commissions from major platforms including BBC, Audible, Global, and CBC, as well as global brands like adidas, TUI, and the Wellcome Trust. My work has been recognised with awards from Adweek, the British Podcast Awards, and the Audio Production Awards.

Beyond production, I am committed to the health of our industry. In 2017, I founded the UK Audio Network (UKAN), now the country’s largest community of audio professionals.

I am a passionate advocate for innovation, building thoughtful, collaborative teams, and creating ideas that connect deeply and directly with their audience. I’m a self-confessed formats and trends geek, perpetually on the lookout for the emerging talent that will define the next wave of podcasting.
